This is a picture shown by Sawcatherine on her blog. I was intrigued by the pattern and how it could change so dramatically by the color choices so. I decided to draft the pattern. I intend to make the block but not right now.
I will keep you all posted on any blocks that come from this fascinating block.
On to other news. Yippii!!! We got a new digital camera. I can now show you projects that I am working on. So for my first current project pictures.

Last year for my birthday, DH got me this Plumaria Hawaiian pattern. It is an "Easy Sew" pattern. You know an applique pattern on interfacing. I had always been afraid to try Hawaiian patterns so this seemed like a good way to get my feet wet. After 6 months and only having 2 blocks to this stage I have decided that they will never make it to a full bed sized quilt. But wall quilts instead. When I am finished with them they will most likely be about 36" to 40" square.

The yellow one is embroidered. I am working on the pink one. Of course Sherbert had to help me pick out the pink embroidery thread.
I think it is funny. The new camera has a hard time defining the edge of Sherbert, I suppose because of his fluffy fur.

THat is an interesting block for sure. I can imagine that you get all sorts of looks by different color placement. The negative spaces must make patterns too.
Hi Rae,
I wil answer your nice comment at my blog. But I got a "no reply" that is why I post it here...
Thank yo so much Rae. I will tell him that there are a lot of friends praying for his recovery. I need to say that he is looking better on the puicture as in real. He have had problems with his drip(?) he got infections now he have one in his neck.. and he is holding his liquid.... thick feets hands and also face ( maybe that is why he is looking so good :-) ...
But his fever is finally gone !!
