Vacation photos

So, I have my computer glasses handy, my eyes aren't so tired they feel like they are falling out of my head AND (here's the big one) I HAVE TIME.

As blogger was not cooperative last night - here are some pictures from our trip a few weeks ago.
We vacationed (camped) in Northern California. As we live in the San Francisco Bay Area, it was only a 4 1/2 hr drive.

There are some beautiful Mountains and lakes up there.
Left: Mount Shasta Right: Burney Falls (where we camped)
Morning on the Lake near the camp ground.

The lake's name is Britton.

So this little boat is the boat that DH and I built. I know it is small, but I really like it. I think it is kind of romantic being out on a lake with DH in a boat that we built.

This beautiful little lake is medicine Lake. The water is so clear and fairly warm for a natural lake that was just one month out of snow. Yes I am talking about Aug. Late July was the first that the road to medicine lake was open.

This stream is Hat Creek.

I just realized how much water we were at, on, or beside during our vacation.

Well Blogger says this all I get to share tonight.

See you soon.

This is the side of California that most people don't even know exists. What a beautiful place to spend vacation.

I love your mother's painting. Did she paint all her life?
