Oh so busy.

No, I have not fallen of the face of the earth.

We had some returning and some other company for a few weeks. This is a picture of my aunt Grace (86), my self, my Mom (93, 94 in a week) , and my sister. This was taken on the 2 day overlap of my aunt and my sister. My sister hadn't been able to come visit sense my Dad's services in February.

Then DH and I went on vacation for 4 or 5 days. Finally. We haven't been able to get away for over a year. Not even for a day. It was so good.

I have more inspirational pictures for my Forest quilt.
There are a lot more but you get the idea from these.

I would like to show you the quilt that my sister and I made in February thou. My sister
worked on the embroidery for a
little over 2 years . We put it together when she was down for those 2 weeks.

We decided on a simple block pattern so that the embroidered Sunbonnet Sues would not be overpowered by the over all pattern. As we used a high loft batting we decided to tie the quilt. We tied at every corner and in the center of the pink blocks. I know it is nothing spectacular but it is fun sometimes to quilt with someone else. My sister being a BEGINNER at quilting I thought it would be best to keep it Very Simple. Also Time was an issue. It was made to be a lap quilt for our Mom during the winter when the floor of her apartment gets rather cold.

I will try to do a blog that gives you an idea of the beautiful country that we were camping in. We went to Northern California.
